Warlike Mindset
Feeling much better today. I think a couple decent nights rest did wonders. Also I guess I should give some kudos to the medicines. Not sure I would have a gotten through the day without them. Maybe I would have, but I would definitely not have been as productive.
Thumbs up!
I've decided college is like a roller coaster. Sometimes you feel on top of the world, other times you feel down in the dumps, or sometimes you just feel jerked around. Then there is always that one occasion where your like "What the f**k!", but that moment usually passes fairly quickly. For the most part, your on the roller coaster for the joy of the ride.
I've decided at college nobody cares what you do. You just have to do your own thing, live by your own moral codes and do only what you can do (know your limits) and trust your instincts.

I just realized I only have 384 hours to do what I need to get done before fall break. And that doesn't include time to sleep. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
Went to see Plumfield, Iraq tonight. It was a show surrounding the effects of PTSD on Iraq War Veterans. Very moving performance (scary at times). Kid next to me literally jumped out of his seat at the gun shots.
They had a talk-back afterwards with veterans of the Iraq war who watched the performance this evening. They talked about how it related to their experiences. It was pretty neat. They had some interesting things to say.
And yes, that's me talking on the phone. I called my Uncle afterwards. Felt like I needed to get in touch with him...we talked for quite a while.
Wow this has been a very insightful blog. :)
Due to lack of photos I have utilized Photobooth for today's helping of Amber-tastic-ism!

I am glad to hear you are feeling better and getting some rest. The saying "I'll sleep when I'm dead" is actually a self-fulfilling prophecy. Your post reminded me of the poem below, not sure why, but I thought I would share it.
I love you,
Dad
Invictus
Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the Pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.
In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.
Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds, and shall find, me unafraid.
It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll.
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.
William Ernest Henley
I am having a hard time posting to this blog. First I was doing it under anonymus, when that stopped working I used name/url and then I had to make a google account and sign in to post. Today none of these 3 got me the "post will show when approved" message, sigh.
